Hi everyone,
I've been able to get a window to popup to the size I want (from the tutorials) but the .swf contained in the spawned window will not play until fully the movie is fully loaded—is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
Any help on this would be immensely appreciated.
Thanks.

Is the content for that swf placed on the main timeline, or is it contained within a movieclip on the main timeline?

Its a separate movie with its own timeline.

Okay, and all the tweening etc takes place on the main timeline too?
If, for example some or all of your new movie's contents was contained within a movieclip (and that movieclip was then placed on the main timeline I could see why this may happen. Also, if you're using shared libraries I could see possoble reasons why.
Otherwise, I'm nt sure either. Sorry

If I do a simple call of "getURL..., _self" the incoming movie has normal behavior and begins play according to plan. If I call the movie via "spawnwindow" the incoming movie will not play until fully loaded.

Odd - I'm afraid I have no idea without seeing the movie. Sorry
