i personally think it's a hoax.. the only pictures on the whole site are either ones of it against a white background looking very rendered or stock photos that were picked up along the way... There aren't any of the robot doing functional tasks or interacting in an environment with people.

It just occured to me that this has to be a joke. It claims to be "3 Laws compliant", which is a reference to Issiac Asimov's laws of robots.

The 1940 Laws of Robotics

First Law:
A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

Second Law:
A robot must obey orders given it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

Third Law:
A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

That and it claims to do taxes. :) Cool site though.

Why would someone develop something like artificial muscles, and built that into something as a personal assistant robot? I doubt they would even make enough money by selling it, to get the developement costs in. This thing would be extreme expensive, and I guess it's only uses would be to impress, and to do some simple jobs.

btw: look at the artificial muscles. Wouldn't make sense to place them as they are placed. (as far as I knowfrom phyics and biology)

But some really cool 3d sequences in there. respect for those who did it.
