View Full Version : New virus makes it's rounds

There's a new virus going around called Mydoom or Novarg which supposedly has the potential to become quite a pain in the ass. I've already had to delete at least 20 of these emails but at least the infected attachments are fairly small.

I think I've got at least 10 emails with the attachment typically says 'message.exe' or 'document.scr' last night and this morning...
The basic rule of thumb is to have reasonable AntiVirus program runnin all the time with the updated virus definitions as pixelwith said already, and do not open up the attachment if you do not know who the sender is and what the file is... :(

hmm, I used to get about 10/20 odd emails with some random virus a day, used to use all these jumbled up characters, I just filled up my inbox and they all got bounced back to the sender, the next day I cleared my inbox and didnt get it again
