Hi
I know this is not the best place to try to solve a problem I have with Flashkit, but since the problem itself is that I CANNOT access the site I thought I would share my problem here in case anyone knows what may happen.
Since more than a week now, everytime I try to enter www.flashkit.com I get directed to http://www.flashkit.com/toomany.php?prob=ob
In that page there is message that says: "We're sorry, due to the immense amount of traffic Flashkit receives, we can no longer allow offline browsers."
As you can imagine, my browser is not "offline" when I try to access the site, and of course I have cleared temporal files and cookies, but the problem remains.
May be someone has had this problem sometime??
This very odd to me and I'm even starting to think that I've been hacked. I don't know.
I hope someone can help me with this.

I know. It works perfect for every friend I've asked. It's ME who cannot enter.

ahuh
Sorry,I didn't get it
might be something with your DNS
Empty your cash
restore or fix your MS products (from the control Panet, shose IE or MS, then chose repair)
then try again
other wise u need tp re-install IE

Thanks for your quick replies farafiro.
However I'm a bit lost on your last response. What does "empty your cash" means?
I'm using IE6, and I haven't experienced any problem in any site other than flashkit

there might be a file that make a conflict with the OS
so, by emptying the cash, it might be solved
the cash is the "Temporary Internet Files"

ahh ok. Thanks
Well, deleting the "cash" was the first thing I did, but with no luck.
I may try reinstalling IE, but I'll wait to see if anyone else suggest what or where could be the problem

Hand, I have the same problem. Did you click the period next to My Flashkit? Yeah, I did it and now I can't get on from home. But I can from work. However, I have a network at home, and none of the computers can get on. I don't know what the deal is.

Hi! Nice to know I'm not alone.
I don't remember clicking a "period next to my flashkit". Why do you think that's the reason?
Perhaps someone could give us an email address to tell the guys of flashkit what is going on, or put a link to this thread in the 'feedback' forum there. I cannot think anything better now.

Well, that's when it started screwing up for me. I was reading a thread at Flashkit where someone had the same problem I did because they clicked the period. So, I clicked to period to see what would happen. Alas, no Flashkit for me.
It was a small link to the right of the MyFK link in the top menu.

Curiosity killed the cat...heheh
So you know the period story it's true firsthand... I don't know how it was for me, I spent a week or so without entering Flashkit and when I tried I couldn't anymore.
I guess too that you are checking out that thread at work to see if anyone post the solution. Let me know if they say anything interesting, please.

Just to say I've just entered Flashkit without any problem.
The thing has solved alone, apparently.
I'll cross my fingers
