Relative Scroll Help

I am having trouble with Relative Scrolling Tutorial 01. The script functions without any trouble as a self-contained swf. file, but when I attempt to load that swf as a movieclip into another file, it cycles through the entire slide show, and when it's done those pretty pink piggies don't function anymore. I have stop() function where the tutorial indicates I should. I can get it to stop by placing a stop() function at the beginning of the bar timeline, but then my buttons don't function when it's loaded. Any thoughts on how to remedy this problem?
