Flickering Button

I have a scene covered with buttons. Initially, the buttons had text on them. Today, I changed the buttons so that the text would pop up when the mouse was over them (by only having the text in "Over"). This was successful with the exception of one button. It goes through every frame instead of staying on "Up" until the mouse is over it. This gives the image of a button with flickering text. Any idea why this might be happening?

sounds like it is a movieclip since it seems as though it is 'playing' through 4 frames over and over again.

click on your instance of the button. in the property inspector at the bottom of the screen, you should have a combobox right above the instance name that says 'Button', 'Movieclip', or 'Graphic'. Make sure it says Button.

I wonder why it was set to movie clip. I guess I rolled the scroll wheel when I had it selected or something. Thanks.
