Hi,

You know how you can add alt tags on images in html to provide a description of the pic?...

Now, is there something similar for swf movies embedded onto html???

No, I don't think there is something simular that is standard available. You could offcourse make a onRollOver for the embedded swf and simulate the alt text :).
