HTML in TextField: Get rid of "%20"

I have data being loaded into my flash movie from an XML datafile and the data in it is represented by "Hello%201337%20Programmer!" where the %20 is suppose to a space. Is there a way Flash can recognize that %20 as a whitespce and change it to that? I made my textfield.html = true but it for some reason still does not recognize it.

you can use unescape(myvariable), or you can make your textfields except html.
