bottons and scenes question

Hi:
My first thread here and already new help:) I am looking forward to make new cyberfriends!
I am building my site from zero and I am having problems with the buttons. I would like to be able to open a new window or layer every time the user click on a specific button. Let say I click on contact then I like the contact info to pop up! I tried with scenes but it doesn't seem to work. I added the stop action at the end of it and I linked the button but the scene correctly but isn't working it doesn't show up!
I would appreciate your help very much!

Yes! I want something within my parent movie but I want it to look like pop up window. I have the photo slide show in the background and it only plays once. So when you click on any button the window should appear on top on the slide show.

Like I said when the site is launch the slide show will play only once and what you did is exactly the way I want it except that the slide show it won't be playing all the time and the pop up window it will be semi transparent? Is it possible?

th only button that it's linked right now is the one call art statement and you have to click it twice to make the layer appear or maybe right click and play movie not sure why. I noticed that the movie or site is strecht out? maybe I have to add something to make it look right.

guess what!!! I got it working!!!!
after you send me the file you made I started to think and think and read it and then finally worked. But I don't understand what do you mean with the picture background?
My question is why is the flash file stretch out like that when I play it from my server? it looks very blurry and distorted...

because ur swf is not embeded in a html page.

throw it in Dreamweaver and save it as html, & use that

instead of the swf.
