Hi mate.

This is some precision for the installation of the flashcom trial, because I think it needs some (I search for 1 day why this ****ing apz not work lol).

I'm talking here for windows OS.

OK the first thing to now is that the trial version do not allow you during the install to choose where the directory "samples" will be ( YOUR SWF AND HTML FILE MUST BE IN THIS DIRECTORY TO BE ABLE TO CONNECT TO FLASHCOM). So if you're installing the flashcom to the default directory you will never be able to publish files you've done on the net cause user have to access this sample directory WHICH IS NOT NOW IN YOUR WEBROOT FORLDER.

So just install your flashcom in your webroot directory and don't forget that the file wanna use with flashcom MUST BE in the sample directory (which is now too in your webroot folder --> can publish on the net).

This is it. Very small but so ....
I tried to find why I was unable to change the sample directory when I found that with the developper version you are not able to change it. Only in the production one.

This is why we use this trick.

I hope this thread will help some others... And save their time.

C ya mate

Hi,

I have been experiencing porblems with the trial version of mx2004 pro
with the trial of flashcom.

First the communication components do not install themself on flashmx pro when you install the flashcom server...
I had to download the .fla from the download of macromedia for th last version of the server... I dont know if this is ok but I see the component in the panel...

I made an applet that connects to my remote or my local flashcom server grab the microphone then transmit audio.
Then I have another applet to listen to the feed.

I can publish both applets this is all working fine as long as I am on my local flashcom server.

If I use the remote flashcom server :
In debug environment everything works fine

if I compile both swf and try them
the netstream connection is made but
for some reason the microphone.get() do not work.
the applet do not ask me if it can use the device and there is no audio coming through.
But the connection light gets green.

Would this be an effect du to my trial version ?
what would be the cause?
thanks
