Yeah, the site rules. I agree with nousername, it gives you a bit of a SilenceOfTheLambs-feeling...
I ran into this other site in the credits-section, check out the thread (http://www.actionscript.org/forums/showthread.php3?t=44565)

Thanks Nouserame, that one was bugging me. Did you get all the rest too?
Also thought I'd mention that everyone should click on the big bug to the right of the moths to see the rest of the site.

Dark, I guess...Ever heard of this really fantastic band called coal chamber (http://www.coalchamber.com)?? It kinda reminds me of their music...

The style is Gothic. The designer lists Tim Burton as one of his inspirations, so it's not hard to see where he gets his design cues from.
Absolutely fantastic site!

Riddle 13:
shadow :P
I thought that was fairly easy compared to some of the others...

Just before i rant on about how good that site is, wanted to see if the answers that were poppiing into my head were the same as everyone elses:
Bag of snow = Spider
Halfway to god = Sign
Rasputin = Spell
Motherless child =
Gone = wake
Stolen = dream
Mary = Silence
Dark thing = Shadow
Shock me peter =
Skeleton song = Spirit
Tremor = Infinity
I my have suspicions as to what 'shock me peter' and 'motherless child' are - i am fairly sure as to what they are - but need to think it through just a little longer.
Best regards, Snapple :)

hey snapple...
you have made me very ANGRY that you didnt get "motherless child" and "shock me peter" made me think of a poem... the poem may not be all that good..... but it was written just for YOU....
Sunshine and moonshine
Noontime and Afternoon
After i wake up
Procrastination in rising
Procrastination in sleeping
Leave me to sleep
Each and every day.....

what i want to know is how the effect was done with the ladybug and the butterflies. 3d program?
Ruben
04-22-2004, 04:52 PM
Well, I wouldn't see anyone doing stuff like THAT in flash, would you?

ok wise@ss :p
I'd still like to know how it was done! Not that that would mean I could do it if I knew...... :(
:D

I had another look at my behind, didn't trace any wisdom there though...;)
Anyways, I'm not an expert when it comes down to 3d-stuff, never done any 3d stuff [swift3d doesn't count right?] but here's my 'wild' guess:
- The animation was done in some 3d-program. 3DMax or something;
- Then it was exported, straight to swf or first to avi or something;
- And finally it was imported in flash...

yup... spider is 3d.... maybe Maya or 3dsmax or lightwave etc... i'm pretty sure the site itself was done in After Effects for the effects then into flash! you can import lots of 3d stuff into AE, manipulat it, then export it as a swf, series of png files etc.... then into flash....
