what language do you recomend for a newb to learn first?
why?

I don't know cfmx, but PHP code seems easier to learn, and is much better supported online than ASP. Also, if you are used to javascript, then PHP isn't going to be too far removed. Conversely, if you have experience with Visual Basic, then ASP will be a better starting point.

If you only want to learn to interact with flash, then cfmx would be the preffered language, I guess.
