View Full Version : Where to download version 4 browsers???

I need to test an app in version 4 browsers of Netscape and IE.

MicroS no longer supports those browsers and does not have IE for download.

Any ideas where I can get an installer?

Many thanks!

I slightly remember some ap that would allow you to test out your site on the fly in different browsers, versions and screen sizes, but can`t remember it`s name ...

Sorry, I`m not being really helpful (either) ...

here's 2 "on the fly" testers: http://www.danvine.com/iecapture/

and this one is free with registration for 8 hours or something... pretty cool:

Wow that ieCapture is a cool site, but they do need more bandwidth. It would be nice if that snapshot also included Netscape, but that second link works good too.

It seems crazy to me that MS and NS haven't archived their browsers for developers.

I guess it is good in a way too, since it forces people to stay more current, but that doesn't help the people who are out there and never upgrade anything (as is the case with this project I am working on).

PS: Using Netscape 4 is like visiting with an old friend that you haven't seen for years. It sure does bring back fond memories...
