View Full Version : how to skin a combobox

I know somebody already asked about it. But still I don't know how to do it. sorry for that...

I use this to change the background color of the combo
_global.styles.ComboBox.setStyle("backgroundColor", 0x000000)

and this to change the text color of the combo
_global.styles.ComboBox.setStyle("color", 0xB3B3B3)

and this themecolor is confusing to me... it changes the text and the backgroundcolor of the dropdown list altogether..how can I change them individually?
_global.skins.ComboBox.setStyle("themeColor", 0x000000);

I read the help document with Flash. I know that the combobox actually comprises Button, TextInput, and List three individual componentS. According to it, I should modify the style of the combobox through modifying these three component individually, correct? I tried but no luck :(

Specifically I want to know how to change the border color of the combobox, not of the the dropdown list. how to change the color of the button face, even the color of the little triangle on it?

something like this

can somebody help me? thanks!!!
