I'm new to this Flash game. I'm not gonna spend a fortune on Flash software, but I want to learn Flash.

Can i create flash programs by programming in actionscript? Are there any great free actionscript editors/compilors?

Alternatively are there any great free flash packages? I'm interested in Flash 4 linux.

I don't think so... But if you are good with the byte code, you might find the Flasm very useful...

Or, if you are good with the PHP, you could use Ming to do that...

Sorry... I haven't heard of anything that goes with the Linux...

Go check on the SourceForge and Google to see if you can find anything... That's the only thing I can say cuz I don't know more than what I have wrote...

flash MX is available for linux too btw thro WINE (it got 'officially' ported)

I`m surprised people are still bothering to sell stuff, even if stolen, for that price.

cheers flasm and ming both look quite useful.

there are quite a few flash linux projects, but all are very much in dev. maybe i'll just have to write my own...

nah sellers have to go thro strict security measures if they are suspect, and lets say u loged on and emailed ebay saying that was dodgy software his account would come under scrutiny and could get frozen if he breaks the end user agreement
