Quick question. I am currently attempting to import an image into Flash to use as a button. I have not worked with buttons yet and was curious how i could handle this problem. Does Flash accept Alpha channels in say .pct format? I would like to be able to paint on the object i have created but am not able to, even after making it into a symbol. If Flash accepts alpha i think i could get the button to behave the way i want it to. If not then i am going to have to recreate the artwork in Flash without importing and that seems like a pain that i shouldnt need to take. Anyone out there have any help??

dunno about pct but you can use PNG with alpha. http://www.phong.com has a good tutorial on it and we've discussed it here on the forums a few times.

Picts with alphas only work on macs not on pc's
for pc you need to use png..
