email a link that starts a frameset and forces a page to the content frame

Hi,
I have posted this on an other forum, more for HTML I thought, but no response. So back at my favorate forum.

I am trying to send a link per e-mail that loads my frameset in a browser (IE will do :) ) and then forces a particular page to load in the content frame.

Now I browsed some forums and have been made to believe I can achieve this by writing a serverside script in my index.php that reads an ID for that particular page and loads it into the content frame. Anyone who has got an example of this or a different method?

PS I don't know how long this new skin is active, but I like the new layout of the forum!
