View Full Version : Issue with HTML checking for Flash Player

I am looking for some HTML code which checks the viewer's machine for a Flash player. If the person DOES have the Flash Player, the HTML uses the Flash movie. If they DON'T have the Flash Player, the HTML code opts for a static image (JPG, GIF, etc) rather than asking the viewer if they wish to download the latest Flash Player.

Does anyone know of a place or some code they could steer me to? I know nothing about HTML (or rather, I know very little and am under time constraints).

Here's a good place to start looking, there are a lot of scripts here for that stuff

Thanks!

I looked around here but couldn't find what I needed. I realize it is a bit of an odd request--95% of people have the Flash plugin anyway, but my boss is insisting we have this option.

Oh well. I will just keep looking. Thanks again!

YOu can search google for "JavaScript flash detection" and you'll get hundreds of answers.
