[Q] Do you know any software that does this???

Howdy... :)

I want to know if there is any software that will do this...
(I am sure there's got to be some...)

Basically I am looking for some sort of utility that I can use to organize the stock photos or icons or those kind of graphical items... The software needs to have preview function with some sort of jotting down the note for the image file and categorizing by the directory/genre and so on...

Anybody??? :)

look into irfanview. not sure it will do everything you want, but its free, and there are a ton of plugins for it also.

Hm... I use irfanview at work, because that's free, but I don't know if I've looked into it abit in detail since I use use it to view the image and capture the screen shot from time to time... I'll see how it is tomorrow when I get back to work... Thanks... :)

but it doesn't sort the pix or let u add notes
I do have it and love it very much, but it's not good for sorting and organizing images
I've also heard that the new ACDsee version is wow

I think I have tired 4.x version long time ago, but did not like it that much...

You might want to check out CompuPic by Photodex. The version I have is getting a bit long in the tooth but they're usually pretty good with top of the line features.

for the irfanview stuff, you've got to look thru the plugins.... they just came out with one to allow me to drive my car via the irfanview interface, so i would imagine there is something there that will let you sort images.

Just downloaded CompuPic Pro trial and I like it so far...
I can't find a categorize functionalities, but I guess I will stick with the different directory structure for now unless I can find it...
