Passing variables from movie in one frame to movie in other frame

I have a problem, i hope someone can help me.
I have a html site with 2 frames. In the top frame i have the movie nav.swf , in the other frame i have the movie called main.swf.
When i click a button in nav.swf i want to go another scene in main.swf. I think this is possible by sending variables.

Can someone help me, please.
