In using the as tags in posting a thread, I got this error. It happened once before but I didn't save the message. Also note that the quotes ( " ) are being translated as "

We can see the thread in the list, but when we click on it, the same message appears.

WIll try to edit to use [ code ] tags.

I was getting that error just trying to look at some of the posts.

Yup. My original post (setIcon Tree) does that. I wasn't able to edit it normally however did manage to 'go back' and fudge it that way. Thus, there are 2 posts of the same name!

Sounds like somebody opened up and messes with the ash_as.php file... We'll get to some place one way or another... :)

Yikes!
OK well I'll undo the hack for the moment and try to change it up so it works. Unfortunately the only way I can test it is live, online. So please keep me alert to bugs found after I reipliment it. For now, they're off again.

I think there is a problem with the email notification for the threads that that we post in
i get an email for each post from anyone even it saysThere may be other replies also, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again.

It's based on when you last viewed the forums. If you view a page on he forums after getting the email, then someone else replies, you will get another one later. It makes senese in my mind, but it's likely to mean ppl like you and I get lots of emails since we're always here :)

Hmm.. is the bounding box width for the as code a bit small perhaps? Not sure, could be just me though ;).

Hmm sorry Faffy. I can't explain it then. I only get duplicates if I hit the forums in between.

Stimpson - I'm running at 1024 x 768 and the box fits nicely and stops sidescrolling, which we're keen on. At higher resolutions it might look smaller I guess, but that's the most popular for our users according to usage stats, so I figure we should stick with it. Actually, it's just code copied from the PHP and CODE vBul tags, so it should be just the same at the moment.

Yeah, I'm using 1280x1024 right now, can't be good for my eyes either. Could'nt the AS box width follow the browser width somehow? (absolute layman talking here ;), ignore me otherwise :))

I'm with Stimpson on this one. The box does stop side-scrolling in the page being viewed but it more frequently forces side-scrolling in the tiny little code window. The code window seems to take one big infrequent problem and solve it with 50 smaller yet more frequent ones.

As usual, just an opinion. ;)

Well I HATE it when the main window side-scrolls, espcially since it mainly happens with the most complicated code sections around and makes you even less inclined to help out the poor fool whose 200 lines of ActionScript aren't working right ;)

I don't really know enough about HTML to make the window resize based on the user's window size. If you use the PHP tags does it do it? If it does I can prolly add it easily...

If it doesn't it will go on the list of to do this holidays, along with getting code highlighting working. I imagine it'd take some javascript. If someone can provde me with a bit of code which will calculat ethe screen width and knock off an approximately right amound for the left side-bar and the indentation, I'm happy to throw it into the template and see if it works.

Not sure how much this can help, but I saw this new syntax highliter and I thought that this might interest somebody... :)
