Thanks to everyone's feedback, I've gone and jazzed up my site a bit. As before, any and all comments are greatly appreciated. www.peterflaschner.com
Thanks

Hi.
1. Two clicks is two too many clicks to click before you get to the meat of the site. Start with the meat. Trash the intro crap.
2. Keep going with the design. Take it further.
3. The main navigation is hard to find.

The intro is nice, but boring... after a while a lot of people are just going to skip it, so try spicing it up, with a nice tune, somethings moving in the background, some graphics maybe (but that would cut away the simplicity of the intro itself)
Next, at the end of the intro, you have a button saying Click here, make sure that the whole area is clickable, not just the letters... place a transparant rectangle behind them.
Choose a more crisp font, this one looks aliased on a 1280*1024 resolution.
Also, the text goes further then the lines on your interface, you don't really notice it, and it might be your intention, but just mentioning it :)
Maybe you should use some more gfx, since you want to show you're an expert, not only at flash, but also at Photoshop and other programs like that.
And I just took a quick look, but the portfolio, what exactly did you design for them? Let's say for Barker & Co., did you design their website, or the logo, or,...?
I think that's about it :) The site has potential, just keep working on it

Thanks to both of you for the excellent feedback. I hope to have a bit of time to work on the site over the next couple of days. I'll post a quick note when it's done, so you can see how your comments have been put into action.
Thanks again
I advise aligning all your text boxes to the exact pixel so your fonts remain crisp.

Hey - thanks. Not sure how to do that. Can you explain?

your text is blurry, probably because you have the textbox positioned at something like _x:206.6, _y:5.5. Position them at whole numbers and they should clear right up: _x:206.0, _y:5.0.
it's fun and it's the cool thing to do.
