Controlling movie from external text/variable file

Hi people

Does anyone know if it is possible to do this:

I need to load an external text file to a field in the movie.
I then need to be able to click on a word in this loaded text field that then loads a further external text file into a different field.

ie. so that a text list menu and it's corresponding text menu items can be controlled from external files.

Or some other way to acheive the same result?

go there. Use that, and then when they click on one button, have it take them to a new frame where it has a dynamic text box with all your text.
If you still need help, ill do this for free, just cuz im bored and need portfolio work, lol.

Or you could look into using a simple asfunction within your first text file, to not only load another text file, but do whatever else within your movie...
