MX2004 : NetServices

Hiya,

Im trying do this tutorial here

So, Ive installed the latest remoting components (for AS 2) from here (http://www.macromedia.com/software/flashremoting/downloads/components/)

guess what - after the install, I have no NetServices.as file - anywhere - Ive searched the whole machine? The first line of the code in the demo is


#include NetServices.as


as you may guess, Im not exactly blazing through the tutorial, as my code (understandably) fails on the first line..


has anyone had this? I've tried a reinstall but nothing - I have no NetServices.as file??? Where should these files be located under XP? Do I need an expensive bit of software of something?

any help would be fantastic

That tutorial uses Flash Remoting MX Components for Flash MX Professional 2004, not the remoting components for AS2. You'll want to download Flash Remoting MX and publish as AS1 to do that tutorial ^_^

P.S. there's a forum for remoting ^^

thanks very much - just realised that! what a loser! I got confused cos my XP profile corrupted when I logged in after installing MX components and my classpath was pointing to different localsettings folder!?

sorry didnt see remoting forum, will head off there any second!
