Hi all:
I have a very simple question that I couldn't figure out how to do it. I tried to create a pic gallery using easing menu system. I had to put a series of pictures and arrange them horizontally in a movie clip. The problem is that the stage goes as far as 700 pixels (each of the pics is 500 px wide), and when I put the 2nd picture on the stage, I couldn't see part of the picture. How am I gonna put all 10 pictures on the stage since I need 5000px-wide stage (500 x 10). The stage doesn't expand automatically when I put picture on it. Please help me if any one know how to do it. I know it's just a silly problem for a beginner like me....thanks.

Howdy and Welcome... :)
Modify - Document - Dimensions is what you are looking for??? Not quite sure if that's what you are asking though...
If you are asking if you can dynamically change the stage dimension, I think the answer for that is no...

Thanks...CyanBlue...I tried Modify>Document and changed dimensions, but that will change the size of the main movie. My main movie's size is 600 x 500 px. I created a movie clip called "sliding pic" inside my main movie to accommodate all the pics. I need to put all pics (each 500x 310) horizontally next to each other which will take up to 5000px wide (500 x 10) but the size of that movie clip doesn't expand more than 700 px (that means I can put only 1 pic in that movie clip since I cannot visual and arrange them the way I want.

I do not understand why you are not able to expand the movieClip more than 700 pixels... You should be able to expand it to at least 1440 pixel wide... Probably you need to utilize the all the space you have not just right side of the registration point...
(I think you can go further than 1440 if you use script...)
You sure can add multiple images if you seperate the movieClips like two at a time or something...

True..The size of the movie clip stage is 1440px, with 0 in the middle and 720 px spans both left and right side. Still, I can't figure out how to align all images horozontally in there since I cannot visual or move anything that go beyond the boundary of the stage. Can anyone help ???
thanks,

As I was saying, your only option looks like multiple movieClip within the movieClip to get away from that limitation...

You can download the .fla file of the tutorial and see how they do that.

Hi sfnovice. Did you manage to sort the problem out? I also have the same problem and have encountered it in the past and never managed to solve it.
I'd be interested to know if you've come up with a solution.
