I usally use photoshop for graphics and havn't become completly aqauinted with this side of things in flash. I wondered if anyone can tell me how to create a gradient fill that goes from a colour to an alpha value of zero...

go to the mixer panel (window|panels|mixer) and create a new swatch with an alpha of 0, if you don't already have one. next go to thte fill panel (window|panels|fill) and select a gradient in the dropdown menu. then change the swatch on 1 side to your 0 alpha swatch and the other to the color of choice.

maybe someday flash will do this PS style with foreground to background or transparent. cause this is a pain in the ass if you ask me
