flash validation

Hello,
I recently published a mockup using mx 2004 and there were problems opening it on a old laptop. I went into the publish settings and changed it for flash 6. Are there any changes that need to be made in html? Also, how can I validate to make sure that there wont be a problem for those trying to view the file with older machines?

only way is to test,test,test. flash will (sometimes) run differently on many different machines, depending on how memory/cpu intensive the file is.
