problems with _xmouse movement for navbar also controlling seperate MC... help please

Hello all,

Ok, i have a navbar which slides left and right. The code for this is working fine, no problems at all. What i am wondering how to do is, when the user moves along the navbar left or right, i want a seperate MC on the _root timeline to rotate either backward or forward (clockwise or counter-clockwise) in harmony with the user's movement on the navbar (left or right).

So to sum it up i have a navbar which slides an MC over a button MC, sliding only left or right. I have no problems with this code. How would i make this work?

I thought this was a community of profesional-grade actionscripters, but so far these forums seem dead...
in any case, i really need help, this is my second thread on the same problem.

It seems so simple to do, but with my limited AS2.0 knowledge it just isnt happening.

When the user moves along the navbar (left or right) I need it to also trigger and rotate a seperate MC (the movieclip could already be tweened to rotate either clockwise or counter-clockwise, then play backward and forward?)

Anyone with any suggestions and help is really appreicated...

I must've been mistaken on the integrity of this forum. There are no experts here. So far it seems to be a collection of social-whores with inner 'cliques'. Four days on the same problem in two different threads is just rediculous. It's problems like these that lower the standards of the entire website.
