help with with scroller please!!!

I created a scroller in flash to scroll text in a separate window, the up and down arrow at the top and bottom of the scroller work just fine but... i can't get the middle scrolling square to work, if anyone has any experience with this sort of situation please help it's urgent, i'd really appreciate it\

How are you intending the square to animate? Tweening or Actionscript?

I'M USING ACTIONSCRIPT TO ANIMATE THE BUTTON, i'm using actionscript to animate the whole thing just that i don't know how to link thwe square and the text window
