Create own touch screen????

Hi all,

Don't know where to put this, so.

Anywayz i saw this at a store. Where they used a projector and some glass (must be the touchscreen). The projector display a simple movie on the glass and you could interact by pointing "almost" on the glass.

So my questions:
1 Would the movie be flash based or director based? Any tutorials, examples?
2 is it possible to create your own touch screen? Any examples?

about 1, it could be anything, since a touchscreen is just like pointing and clicking with a mouse.

about 2, it's like asking if you can create your own digital camera or scanner. It's pretty complicated, it's more than putting a touch mechanic behind a screen, it's designing a screen that fits the touching object.

hmm, about 2 In the shop there were 2 pieces of glass (approx. 1mtr x 2mtr) stick together. The only thing i saw were some cables to the ceiling and i guess to the computer.

So this would be a custom made touch screen??
