Hello everyone, i need some help from someone good with Flash and Javascript. I still want to know how to to open an aplication (for example to open Windows Explorer) from a button whit in Flash.

I have used this peace of actionscript code assigned to a button in Flash:

on(release)
{
fscommand("exec","start\texplorer.exe");
}

But it doesn't work when i test my movie, i mean when i click the button. DO I NEED some other code. I just want to make it work with in FLASH for the moment. But it doesn't do anything.

PLEASE SOME ONE HELP.

thanks in advance

It will only work from a Flash Projector (exe) file.
on (release) {
fscommand ("exec", "start\texplorer.exe");
fscommand ("exec", "cmd\t/c\texplorer.exe");
}

Thanks Jesse, YES in fact now it works.
And by the way if you are trying to open any other aplication you will need to putt double BackSlashes "\\".
Don't ask me why. Here is an example (i want to open the clvision32.exe application).

on (release)
{
fscommand ("exec", "D:\\Clemex\\Vision\\clvision32.exe");
}

yeah because \ is a special character so in a string you have to escape it. the escape character is \ so \ becomes \\
