Static Class Component?

Hello, I have done a good amount of work on a math class that uses only static functions for various data manipulations. I would like to put my work up on macromedia exchange, but it would be nice to compile the class so that people aren't going to be easily allowed to poke around in my hard work (especially if I i can make a few dollars off of it). I have tried creating a component with just the class (edited to extend MovieClip), but it doesn't seem to work. I want the users to just be able to have this component in their library and be able to utilize its functions without creating an instance or importing a class. Is that possible?

you need to set it to export for actionscript in the first frame for it to be available like that

I did/do have it set like that. It just says it is undefined.
