Flv hell...............

Hiya, I am trying to use the mediaPlayback component to load a .flv movie into my flash movie.

When I try to view it in the IDE it gives me this error....

"Error opening URL "http://www.domain.com/flash/raceMovie.flv"

My swf resides at http://www.domain.com/flash/raceMovie.swf and for the URL path in the component inspector I have used both the absolute path AND tried to relative path.

What gives? The .flv is 12 Mb..... which I know is huge, but its like 4:30 long. Is there a load limit on it?

Any help would be sweet, oh yeah and I know the .flv works because I can view it in a .flv player.

does your host allow streaming? specifically, does it support .flv.

I figured it out....... It was because we have a new Windows 2003 server and you must allow .flv as a MIME type in order for the server to recognize it..... works like a charm, all ya have to do it add the mimi-type to the server, reboot it and voila!
