Background image in Flash or HTML

Hi there!

I've got a Flash movie with a photo background for added effect, the problem is, this is bumping my movie up to 118 K, its 72K without the background.

I've tried putting the background in HTML, but it won't scale to fit the screen. I've also tried using layers with a 100% sized image, but this screws up if the browser is resized.

Should I put my background in Flash or HTML? Which will be faster at downloading?

I dont think 118k are problem to load but in slower conetions...

You could try to put an preload in the file, if you already have an preload you try this:

Open the library and double click the image you chose, in the "Bit map properties" panel click on "Use import JPG data" and change the quality of the image.

This will reduce size of it and will lose quallity but probably no one will notice.
