flash won't play in IE

I tested my flash page on a couple comuters and only the first page is displayted. None of the buttons work or movie clips play. in Mozilla things work fine. If I go to the macromedia site with my IE everything works fine. Is this a common problem?

i've seen your site. Well, as you've said, it won't work. But wait, I try to right click and choose play from pop-up menu, and then it's work. Maybe, there was a 'stop' action on your .fla document. Check it out on your .fla document and look for unnecesary 'stop' action.

well I looked at things and there is nothing that would seem to make the movie stop. When I view it with IE and like you mentioned, right click and select play, it starts looping through all the movie clips, which would make sense only if it started playing all the frames within the _root.

When I preview the swf file it plays fine, and like I mentioned before mozilla works fine.

I talked to my instructor and he said there is some publish settings to allow you to choose which browser to compile for, or compile to both (mozill and IE), but I can't find anything that allows for me to do that.

I tweeked as many publish settings as I could and still nothing.

On publish setting, go find and choose not to check the box which ask you an option 'pause at start'.

ya, I already had that unchecked.

yeah there is definitly something not right. none of the buttons will click, nothing works until i right click and select play from the flahs menu. then it quickly runs thru all of your frames before comming to a stop on the first one. then all the buttons work. you want to post your fla? is it mx format?
