Flash Message Boards

Hey guys,

Question.....why does it seem so hard to either get the code or make a flash based message board. I have searched hi and low......In-A-Flash seems to be the only thing out there....and that sux. Please help ...i just want a simple way for visitors to post a message for all my visitors to see

Ok well after checking out that zip im still lost and dont understand .....how to make a simple board ...that swf didnt work by the way ......unless i just didsomthing wrong... thanks for your help though

this example using the php as a backend (you can't run it localy on your PC unless you have an apache+php installed on your computer)

When I have completed my Flash Forums they will do what you are after. They work just like these boards apart from they are Flash and made with ASP. If anyone wants a taster I'll upload the latest Beta I have and make a little test board so you can see whats happening so far :)

I would be very interested to check it out. Keep us updated pz....im getting good at animations and designs in flash ..but still dont know much about action scripting and how to get it to run on my little web server.....by the way i use simple server..from analogx.com its a sweet little simple server that supports cgi...but the rest of this stuff is way over my head right now

Sos for not getting back to your guys but I had ISP problems so Ive signed up with a new one. My host is ready to rumble so all being well I will be uploading a test version of my forums tomorrow so watch this space for an update :)

OK peeps the test version is up. You can go see it at http://www.flashforums.com This beta is only really to test the backend stuff as i will be constantly updating the GUI and adding new features as I get round to them.

You can create your own account or use the Test account which is

Username - Test
Password - test

Have fun and post suggestions/improvements either in this thread or on the forums themselves :)
