Hi guys,
Does anyone know if there is a way to save external files (pdf, docs, etc) onto your hard drive from Flash???
If so is there a way to tell them where to be saved? For example (C:/downloads)

If you use third party projector tools such as Flash Studio Pro, SWF Studio or mProjector, you can let your projector file to save data into the local hard drive...
If you are talking about doing it over the web, I don't think you can do that...

You can call a new broswer window with a file and the browser will prompt to save it can't u?

Uh... I have no idea if it is possible cuz I haven't tried it myself, stealthelephant... How would you prompt to save from the browser??? JavaScript you mean???

Thanks guys, I thought a third party tool would need to be used.....I found this link (http://www.multidmedia.com) on my travels however the price is way out of the clients price range.

Um... That product is just $249.99 USD and I think it is reasonably priced...
I think you should cut it down to possible projects and have each projects take care of the price so that you won't charge the whole price to one client... Just a thought, of course... :)

Hm... Would you post the link if you ever stumble to that thread again??? I'd love to hear more about that... :)
(The only one that I am aware of is the one that Cota is working on... It's not really done yet, so I don't assume there is any example yet...)
