creating animated menu

Please help,

I'm really confused now. I want to create a menu that appears when the user rollsOver the menu. The menu has 4 or 5 buttons within it. What is the best way to do this? I have tried creating a movieClip that contains the buttons inside it, then I put the onRollOver method on the movieclip, which works, but the buttons inside the movieClip don't work at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, my deadline is fast approaching.

I'm curious to the solution to this.

One thing though, is the menu invisible until the user rolls over it?? If so, then how do they know where the menu is and where to rollover?? Or am I not understanding??
