Hi my name is Frank.
Im working on producing a spalsh intro that is to automatically open on either a mac or a pc.
Once the projector has run it will have a few buttons to open pdf files (within the reader software and not the browser) or to allow the user to download the Acrobat software which will be available on the CD this means that from the projector I'd like to be able to link the the .exe file for Acrobat.
So far I have got the projector working well, however all files get opened within the browser which is not what I want?

see the Execute files from Local presentations for info on running your exe.
on a Windows machine you can then use the same exec command and provide the full path to the pdf and it will open in acrobat. as a test, if you put a file called 1.pdf (some random PDF) on your C: and then go Start > Run and enter 'c:\1.pdf' it will open in Acrobat. This is one of the cool functions of start.exe in Windows... but you'll have to figure out how to integrate it with Flash yourself coz I aint got the time to show you atm.
