I dunno if anyone can help me... i hacked through this issue before the messy way, but it's getting silly...
When i record audio, it comes into the machine REALLY quiet. To get around this, i've jacked up the gain on the resulting files.. this of course, makes for unwanted noise, and cruddy quality....
My soundcard is just a measly onboard sucker, (realtek AC97) but the recording volume issue seems like more than a "your card sucks, dude" problem......
I've maxed the mic volume slider, "sound and audio devices", as well as what looks like a proprietary "sound effect manager" config that is related to the driver..
i've updated the driver...
I've made sure im not plugged into the line-in....
any thoughts aybody?
