ok, here's the deal

when I publish or test my scene etc, I can see EVERYTHING including things not on the canvas. I checked the size setting both in the HTML publish settings window and in the document settings. THey are both set to the canvas size yet still everything outside of the canvas can be seen. I know I can just make a bit masklayer over EVERYTHING in my scene that matches the canvas but it seems sort of annoying because, well it seems like a juryrigged solution.

thanks for your help

i agree... i've brought this up myself here, and the best solution i got was the masking layer.. i've used that, but i've got my ears out for a 'cleaner solution'...

just feels like such a hack.. the kind of thing you dont expect to have to do in such a 'polished' environment...

I am not quite understanding your problem, could you post it on the internet so I can see?

if the swf file is desplayed in a broswer through HTML, by default it will not show more than what you've appointed it to... but then again if its stand alone you can always go with billy's idea....
