Changing the Internal Title Variable?

I have noticed that a link to an swf file, as opposed to html with an embedded flash, nicely resizes to the browser window (even if the window area is changed). Is there a way to preserve this resize attribute in the html and have this method be cross browser compatible? Also, is it possible to change the title variable that the browser displays as a title when linking to an swf (ie: example.swf(application/x-shockwave-flash Object))?
