Hi guys I am having big confusion right know. I searched for "How to import quicktime movies into flash" and I got three pages of threads of material. I read every single one and the conclusion everyone suggested was "just link the video and publish the file as a quicktime file"
One thing that is making me very confused is that you guys don't specify which file or which one is the one you have to publish? I mean do you actually use the .mov file for your whole site? Or is there any way to only have the regular .swf file and then link just the quicktime file?
You know when you publish your file I think you only get 3 documents; one swf, html and flash and now a mov file. Do I use the mov file for my whole site? Thanks

You cant link to a mov using Flash. Flash only supports its own video type, .flv - to get an flv from your quicktime, open Macromedia Flash and choose Import and select your movie. This will then create a flash version of that file which Flash can use and play.

hey thanks. Thats exactly what I've done! but sadly I haven't had any luck.
I do the following: File>Import to library>choose the movie file>linked video>insert keyframe in the timeline>drag the little movie icon from my library to my timeline and that's it, right? It won't work for some reason...Oh and I add an action to the play button "gotoandplay frame 10" tx.
