image not smooth

Hi all,
I'm trying to make animation that's zooming in on the image.
Why is it that on the stage (editing) the image appears to be smooth even if I zooming in on the image but when running it, the image is not as sharp (low resolution-like) when zooming in.
is there any way I can fix this?

Well what type of graphic are you using ??

If its a JPEG then go to publish setting and push the JPEG quality up from 80 (default) to 100

And also what version of flash are you using ?

If you double click the image in the library, you'll see there are 2 compression options:
lossless and photo. Try these out too.
