Question: Can a Flash .exe read my folders on a CD?

Hey, I may be creating a CD Presentation in Flash and the client needs to be able to have the exe grab files from multiple folders dynamically. Can Flash handle this? Any advice or tips would be sweet! Thanks :).

I don't think so... You'd need to use the third paryt projector tools such as Flash Studio Pro or SWF Studio to do so...

i thought exe files could retrieve and utilise external files the same as swfs?

it can retrieve and utilize them... only if you know what they are. Flash can't read a directory for you and tell you what they are.

If you're making a CD, though, your content will be static, so just take the 43 seconds needed to write down the file names into an array and get them from that when needed.
