I was reading a tute on Navigation Circle That Stops On Mouse Over (#20). Then in step 8 it tells me to go to libary and Double-Click to open the button in its own editing area, and create a different color for the Over state. Also make sure to include a 'hit' area, then save. I looked for information on what a hit area is and I have no idea. I have Flash MX 2004, I you whould be so kind to tell me what a hit area is and where it is, I will be very grateful.
Thanks. :)

When you double-click on a button. You'll see a frame labeled "hit". This is the area that will detect when the mouse moves over it. Try experimenting with different shapes on that frame and you'll understand pretty quickly.

yeah if you just leave it blank, flash will take all the other frames and pile them up for the hit area. I usually just leave it blank.

dynamic text & input text are 2 text options that are selectable & editable
and they look sharp also.
2 create one, just use the type tool and turn ur text into a dynamic text
in the property window.
