ok. The flashing in the portfolio section gets a bit much, I would think to tone it down a bit. Is their music or any kind of sound effects? That could add a lot.

In the about section the book servers no purpose and is floating in mid air above a dead body. You used the x ray as good sapce for your portfolio and it looks like you gave up on the about section and just through in the page flip template that every designer has.

Overall aspect of the site is there it is just obvious you are cutting corners that shouldnt be cut.

cheers for the honest opinion... because i had so little time to make the site, i had to cut corners. we had about 4 classes to work on the site, plus the other projects i had going for other subjects, made it a little difficult to squeeze everything in! so cutting corners was the only way. the page flip book has been done WAYYY too much, totally agree there, but that was the last thing i did. overall, i spent most of my time doing the 3D parts to make up a 'cool idea' rather then going too far into the design aspect as much...if that makes sense! hehehe basically we got higher marks if we did something more original (hence the room and the coroners office and moving around etc) more then we got marks for displaying content nicely...see, if i redid it in my own time and worked through it properly, i could definitly make this site a whole lot better i think...but yeah, once again, cheers for the advice and honest opinion, its much appreciated! :)

The page flip would work if you had it on a desk. Have it as somewhat of a sign in sheet the morgue uses (maybe some splatered blood or something on it). Mkae sure to redesign each page too. The thing that really kills the book is half the pages are same as the source.

Class assignment are totally understandable. My portfolio was from when I graduated and had to be created in 2 weeks. Luckly I have a good job and didnt need it for employment.

hehehe yeah i actually work at a web design firm in Australia, which is where I got the source file of that page flip book in the first place, someone here had downloade3d it and I thought 'yeah, I'll use it, why not!', but yeah, working in a design firm also put pressure on me to do Uni work as well as my job work...I figure if Im doing design to get a degree and not to get a job (because I already have one and the experience I get at my job is WAY more important then my uni work) I'd rather just pass and do a great job at my job then do great work at Uni and get fired at my job...ok that might not have made sense! Anyway, thanks again :)
