Some former co-workers and I started up a new advertising/interactive company. One of our services includes website design/hosting(my job). We are projecting a fairly high demand for bandwidth in the future. Over our first 2 months we already have 6 websites which use a total of 10Gigs bandwidth a month and only about 500MB of space.
Currently I have a reseller plan at wwm.net, which is cheap, and now i'm starting to know why, frequent but short downtimes..which gets annoying because out of the 6 websites I have about 20-30 clients checking email, the minute that server gets rebooted I get a call.
Assume over the next year I end up with 30 websites using 100Gigs of bandwith and have hundreds of people checking email.....yikes.
I'm located in Florida, I dont really care if the server is in FL, or Texas, or New York, aslong as its not Bejing or the North Pole.
Any recommendations on how to prepare for more customers?..... like......Buy a T3 and host websites myself (thats like 800$+ a month right?)? Try out somehost.com, they are awesome!!!? Post this thread on somehostingsite.com, not here you idiot! =/
