Hi ,
I 'm nearly finished working an my girlfreinds portfolio site.
The "pages" (thumbs) in the folders are created dynamic using php to count the number of images in the current folder.
Q: do U think the scrolling system is easy enough to use?
Q: can U finfd any bugs/ can you mess up the scrolling system?
anything else?
Thanks
Peter

I love the scroller! I haven't tried to mess it up quite yet, but the concept is great and under <normal> use it did not break ^_^

Very nice menu - really impressive work. On a different note - might want to sort out the contact form, i.e. make the tabbing work, and error checking better.
Love the colours, art work was nice too. Site shows it off well.
Nice flash.

Very slick navagation, well done. Don't think I have seen anyhting quite like it before...
I managed to mess it up a bit, but its pretty minor. I think it is this:
Select an image, and just as it finishes loading, and begins to slide over, select another image.
The original image disappears, the previously selected image continues to animate in, but the newly selected thumbnail is selected (that make sense?).
And the percentage indicator goes backwards from 33 to 0. Then most of the time the next thumnail you click is non functional.
Took me a bit to figure out what was going on, but I think that is how to reproduce it. It wasn't quite 100%, as I am not sure exactly when things are happening. If you disabled the thumbs while the new image animates in it would probably fix it...
I am using OSX, using IE...

thanks for viewing and testing.
I'll work on the bugs. Hopefully any time soon.
To me making such a scroll system that is fully dynamic was pretty hard work.
For now I can read back the code easily. After 2 months or so it takes time to re-understand teh thing. I gotto be more disciplined in writing 'clean' code and good comments. Any recognise this scenario?

I would say there are precious few of us that don't think they can improve their commenting and code cleanliness ; )
As long as you learn you're doing well, eh? That's the way I see it!
Great navigation system.Man I got to get better at Flash.

If pokedesign is yours, I think that even though you may not be the sickest coder in the world that you're doing great. It works great, it's tactile, it's attractive -- I like the design and content a lot : )

That is very cool.
I noticed a couple of things as well.
When you click on a thumbnail it loads and everything fine. But lets say I click on image 19 (or whatever) then on a thumbnail that is below 19 (18 -1), the thumbnails should slide down to their original position.
Other than that
 wow
Im currently working on my portfolio that is going to have a pretty slick nav menu, using XML. It is going to be completely dynamic.
