Sound Format question

hello flash enthusiasts.

i am relatively new to Flash and i have a question about sound file formats. which is better to use in a Flash movie, wav or aiff? or does it even matter with the exporting options? ive just noticed that .swf's made with wav files sound garbled and slower sometimes playing in a Mac browser(ie & netscape). am i doing something wrong here? i need your help! thanx in advance:)

if you are using flash 5 go with .mp3. you'll be able to get the sound files much smaller.
